My PC's a couple of years old (Evesham), and came with USB2 ports (definitely...no doubt at all).
Now, every time I plug something in, it tells me I'm plugging a USB2 device into a USB 1.1 port.
Hasn't mattered until now, but I've just installed an Iomega external HDD and copying the internal HDD just took 9 hours!
Tried looking for a new driver and that didn't help.
Any ideas....?

Because the man from Iomega, he tell me, if I have 1.1, it's described as "universal host controller" or "open host controller."
It's not so described therefore, according to said man, I have 2.0.
Is that right?
I don't think so. XP (I assume you're using this?) is really annoying with USB. I bet when you plug it in it says try using a high speed port. You list the ports and none are. I think it should say you haven't got any (which is probably true).
What's the motherboard? Evesham always used standard bits when I bought my machines from them, so we should be able to look on the MB manufactures site to see the USB ports.
Under WinXP's Device Manager under the USB section I'd expect to see "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller" (my emphasis)
If you don't have "enhanced" appearing then chances are you have USB 1.1 not 2.0
USB 2.0 PCI cards are very cheap though - under £20. I've put one in my ageing Dell Dimension 8100 to give me some USB 2.0 ports and the difference on my external HDD is stunning (as you'd expect considering USB 1.1 is 12mbps and 2.0 is 480mbps)
