OK, this is the last straw..I have had a couple of problems this week (see my other threads) but this has topped the lot. Bought Office 2003 Pro from PC world for a bargain (not!) £449. Got it home and had a quick look at manual etc and left the disk on the sofa. Went to pub with the Mrs and got back and her bloody dog has DESTROYED the CD!!!!! Took it back to PC World today and they said contact Microsoft!! Customer Service?!?!?

How long do you think MS will be in sending me (if ever) a new copy once I send them my receipt?

I hate computers this week.....

CD doesnt matter, the license does.

Beg borrow or steal the media from someone.

Job done.

They are actually VERY good at sending out new media.

Last time I had to order the cost was around 15 quid.

You'll be surprised.

Put your dog on half rations for a month, that should save 15 quid!

Download it from suprnova.org or the such like and put your licence key in - as has been said the media does not matter, it is the licence.

Cheers

www.openoffice.org for future reference. Free MS-Office compatible office suite. Lacked an Access-type app last time I checked, but if you find yourself feeling the need to use Access you need to re-evaluate what you're trying to do and how best to get it done, if you see what I mean... ;-)

Ciao
