Help - file saved to desktop changed

I had a file saved to my desktop (C drive )that I have been changing and saving while out of the office, now I am back into the office I have logged on and the system has advisd that my locally stored profile is newer than my roaming profile.

I selected the roaming profile which has changed my documents back before I left the office.

Is there a way of recovering the file from the C drive of my laptop??

I am getting a little desperate here as there is three days worth of work that may be lost

did you synchronise? if yes then doubt it (could try offline files folder)

or is it different identity altogether? search your c drive for that file

I can find the file in the C drive but when I signed on this morning it appears that the roaming profile has reset the document to before I started making changes
