bit tired last night so plugged camera into pc and moved all pics to directory marked btap camera now empty

using psp rotate some images thro 90 and saved changes

for got the save was set to reduce quality by a huge ammount bum

anyone any ideas does xp save the originals cos I only saved them once help much apreciated

There is a bit of software called "don't panic" that will restore deleted pics and files. Costs about £30 from Percy World

I have used a free product called REST2514 (easy to find through google) to undelete stuff before. It could be worth a go.

Didn't think of that avenue, XP won't have them on the HDD spare somewhere, but you will possibly be able to undelete them from the memory card assuming you haven't taken more pictures since...

I think the memory card is your only hope. Ideally, get someone to extract a whole disk image of the card, and then try to retrieve the files from that - don't do ANYTHING that might write to the memory card if the pictures matter.
