Startup Error Message

I've just turned on my computer and got this error message:

Error message said:

Warning: Dell's Disk Monitoring System has detected that drive 0 on the primary Eide controller is operating outside of normal specifications. It is advisable to immediately back up your data and replace your hard-disk drive by calling your support desk or Dell Computer Corporation Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility

I hit F1 this time and everything seems ok. Any suggestions what's up?

Modern IDE disks and motherboards have something called S.M.A.R.T. It's meant to be able to detect when a hard disk is about to fail. I'd suggest that you might want to back up all your data and prepare for a disk failure
