Right, I'm trying to tidy up my desktop at the mo.

I'm running XP home (no SP2 -- sore point!), and I want to get rid of ALL the desktop items. I have the desktop as a tool bar, so i need the shortcuts to still be there, just not visible, quite frankly they're getting in the way of my Wallpapers!!

I could put them all in quicklaunch... but You can't get rid of the Recycled bin from the desktop, and I know you can have a plain desktop, as I've seen it.

Confused!

Thanks in advance.

Oh yes you can!!

Either use TweakUI from the Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx) or if you are handy with the registry, look here:
