Just another tick for Eclipse. I've been with them for a couple of years now and never had a problem.

I haven't had cause to use their customer support though so I can't comment on that.

Supply has been spot-on with only one outage (from memory) in all the time I've been with them.

The www.adslguide.org.uk/ is your friend.

This is what the Eclipse Users themselves say on the Ecllipse adslguide forum:

General view
Speed: Good
Pings: Good
Gaming: Good
Tech support via Telephone : Good
Tech support via Email : Poor
Tech support via Web (support ticket) : Poor
News feed: Poor

But I'd add that News feeds for most ISPs will get a poor rating from ADSLguide Forum patrons, as they suck as much of the news servers as possible.

Definitely worth looking around for the best deal and suitability, its normally only when you have committed that you find out what looks like a simple problem, turns into a difficult one that can't be solved easily

I'd personally like more POP email addresses with separate passwords etc for my Nildram account, but other than that I'm pretty happy with the customer service and the advice they have given me with regard to setting up my home network etc. (They EVEN phone you back when they say they will - which for an ISP is really something to right home about)

I've been with Eclipse for almost 2 years now, in that time i've had little reason to talk to them and once they have a concern logged, they've been on the case with a quick solution.

I should also add that, when i've suffered down time with eclipse, it's usually been a major failure which isn't just affecting Eclipse or it's a BT issue at my antique line exchange.

I've only used their tech support via the phone line so I can't comment on their ability to rectify a concern via an online ticket.

The acid test would be to ask if i'd go with Eclipse if I had to get DSL again, and that answer would be a YES.

A quick update on this as I've just started using it at home. BT provide Broadband at work and few e-mails with virus attachments now get through. Eclipse need to do some housekeeping because I am under siege from the bl00dy things!
