MS word gone funny

Whilst using MS word, it will only type in upper case.Keyboard is fine in notepad. Tried format/toggle case, but still the same. When you go back to format uppercase is ticked again although it has been altered.Any ideas what has happened, been working fine all morning and nothing was changed.

Do you have format-->font-->all caps ticked?
Or has your default font changed to one that is all in capitals?

Checked that and is ok, is there anything else to check or can a document become corrupted?

Check the style as well, maybe you are using a style that is set up for all caps.
