Talk Talk Router Knackered - Will a New BT Home Hub Work?
Discussion
Hello All.
Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question...
SWMBO's Talk Talk Router would appear to have had the dick.
I have a brand new boxed BT Home Hub which was sent to me when I renewed my own Broadband and, as the one I has was working fine, I never saw the need to open it.
Question is, will it work at her place? I have heard that router can work from other manufacturers to your actual Broadband supplier.
If not - is it worth anything? BT had me believe it was worth £70, which is why I should've been delighted to pay £6 for it to be delivered to me, when I said I didn't want or need it...
Thanks in advance - Nick.

If it's the same type of connection (ie ADSL) then it will work, just plug it in and off you go. You will probably get a second wireless network called BT-FON. Your SSID will change as will the password but look at the small piece of card on the back of the router for the password.
If it all works ok the ok but you're much better off with almost any router, even one like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TD-W8970-Wireless-...
