I've been with sky forever and recently got the hump with them and cancelled everything.

It all gets closed down tomorrow so i phoned up today to delay the cancellation of the broadband as i've not had a chance to look around for an alternative and to be honest, their service for BB is pretty good.

Anyway, apparently it's gone past the point of no return and will be closed down tomorrow.

Does anyone know of anywhere i can get a broadband service set up within 24 hours??

Help!

Unlikely to be within 24 hrs unless you have a cancellation with BT Openreach should they need to be involved. If you're switching providers it's them that does the work.

Get yourself this pair, plus a "3" 10Gb SIM (£15pm).

When you have your new BB set up at home, keep these beauties in the car . . .

HTH!

This may be an option but only 3G?
I can tether to a 4G mobile for a few days if the worst happens

The box and advert details say 4G also.

Within 24 hours? No chance. Most providers will quote you 2 weeks minimum as that's around how long Openreach are quoting them. You might be lucky and get a company willing to expedite the order but they'll likely charge you £100+ for the privilege and it will still take a couple of days minimum.

How about asking a friendly neighbour if you can use their wifi till you get sorted?

Well I phoned sky last night, cut a deal I was happy with and they told me 14 days for reconnection of the phone line. Woke up this morning and the bb was working as was the phone line too (with new number). Approximately 12 hour turnaround!!
