Update without where clause = many incorrect order delivery addresses, me in trouble.

Ive lined up my excuses
No backups
No testing.
Disgruntled employee just been made redundant, talking about doing malicious stuff.

Place your bets - will I still be employed at days end?

Time for plenty of technobabble - "indefinable exception cascade error" caused by "unique interpration command structure instruction". Time to blame the non-english speaking temp.

Good luck.

The word you least want to hear your techie say; "Oops!"

Followed by; "I wonder why it did that?"

I've been worrying people today by having a non buls**tting day. I've been saying lots of things like:

"Not a clue why that's happening"
"Yep, that's pretty much knackered"
"Nope, still no idea"

fall back on .....
Sharp intake of breath and say " That doesn't look too good , does it?" or "Well it weren't like that the last time I checked"
or We have a mains failure last night?
or " I'll see what I can do, but it's gonna take a long time to unravel that corruption"
Then sign up on every database help site you can find - I can help out with at least 14 Access Sites

A few months ago we lost power to the entire street where the office is situated. As "luck" would have it, the only machine to die miserably as a result was the one with multiple redundant PSUs, UPS & Raid. All the boggo desktops pressed into slavery as servers were fine.

Just goes to show that Murphy was right all along...
