Much in the news about these things that divert your calls to Norfolk Island etc...

Yesterday whilst surfing (Broadband) a security window appeared about installing something, a Norton warning flashed a warning about a script, and ZoneAlarm asked me if I wanted (something).exe to access the internet. I clicked no to everything, immediately updated Norton and Adaware, disconnected and ran them both, plus Window Washer.

They found the usual collection of tracking cookies but nothing sinister. Am I OK, and how would I know if I'm currently connected to Norfolk Island???

NB ZoneAlarm log shows:

If your on Broadband and your dial up modem is not plugged into any phone lines then as far as I'm aware you should be OK. To be sure though check in Dial Up Networking, you should only have one Dial-up account set up there (if you are on ADSL rather than cable), two max if you have a backup dial-up account.

I take no responsibility if I'm wrong!
