What make is the best, cheapest and where to get them from online.

256Mb should be more than enough

Have a look at www.valuemedia.co.uk and my advice would be to buy a decent brand if you're storing anything remotely valuable on it.

I use Sandisk cards in my cameras - Ultra IIs or Extremes. They're not the cheapest, but I have yet (touch wood) to have a single failure. I won a cheaper brand card and it failed after not many writes...

Their 256Mb card is 33 quid or so, the normal one 25 quid.

Lexar are another popular quality brand.

Cheers for replies guys, I have had alook and found a FujiFilm 256mb on amazon for £16. It is for a Digital Camera so long term storage is not an issue. Are FujiFilm cards any good?
