Is there anyway of clearing the cache of the auto-find web address option..?

i.e. if i type www.pis it will automatically suggest the last used web pages with that start line, so www.pistonheads.com, www.pistonheads.com/gassing etc.

I have tried deleting all the temp internet folders, history files and doing start>settings>clear taskbar.

However it still does it.

Computer still running Win98 for info.

Cheers

I think it works against your internet history. You can clear the history via the nternet options panel, which you can get at either through tools/options on the menu bar or start/settings/control panel/internet options.

In Internet Explorer go to

TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS... > ADVANCED (TAB)

Scroll down until you find 'Use Inline Autocomplete' approx half way down. If it has a Tick in the box then uncheck it by clicking in the box again.
