Hi All,

I'm looking for a wireless keyboard with an integrated pointing device to use with my media-centre type PC (well, by 'media-centre' I mean it's plugged into the telly ). It needs to be RF as the PC is in a cupboard.

Anyone got any suggestions? I've found a few examples that use Infra Red, but not any RF ones...

cheers

Matt

We've used the Logitech range in the past, pretty sure they are RF rather than IR. Website suggests there is a Bluetooth version as well.

I've got a Logitech setup that came with my new PC. Wireless (RF) keyboard with a load of those extra media buttons on but no pointing device I am afraid, mouse is RF but is separate. Good range (about 5m, even through walls) and the mouse is rechargeable when you drop it onto the receiver. As a gadget it's cool, because my PC is now in my bedroom and I can sit back on the bed and relax whilst doodling about in media player using the additional keyboard buttons (like you get on a CD player - play, pause, stop, prev track next track, volume etc). As a keyboard, it doesn't type as well as the stock Dell keyboard.

This is the one I have got : www.logitech.co.uk/index.cfm/products/details/GB/EN,CRID=2162,CONTENTID=6831

I've seen some in the past, but the RF ones were quite expensive.

Are you after full size keyboard (with number pad) or laptop size keyboard?

Logitech and MS ones are both excellent.

Try PC World... they were doing them half price a week or so ago...

Laptop size would be preferable but at this stage I'm not too fussed.

Thanks for the tips Squirrelz ( and for actually reading the post )

Thanks again....just need America to wake up now and respond to my shipping enquiries......I think it's got to be cheaper from the states, even with shipping factored in.

Just bought a RF Keyboard from the www2.inpace.com/wkrf.html
Site.
Keyboard is nice and easy to use and has a range up to 30mtrs, but they advise for you not to have is past 15mtrs due to signal disruption.
It's a Grandtec Keyboard which is through the States but Inpace are the European reseller for it as I tried to buy from the states and were refered to Inpace.
I would highly recommend this keyboard over any of the Logitechs or Microsofts and paying extra for Bluetooth just isn't worth it in comparrison to that RF keyboard.
My advise is buy from Inpace they have amazingly quick turn around as it's next day delivery and the keyboard is nice.
