Scan to pdf

[rmhodv]

Does anyone know of any software that can scan a document to pdf.I know that the photocopier at work can do this, but the documents I want to scan are my accounts, so I don't want to risk getting caught or someone seeing something I don't want them too. The document in question is only about 10 pages long. I have found something on the web, but once scanned they all leave a banner on the pdf version, which is no good.Any help/advice would be great.

scanning to pdf is just going to embed an image in the pdf so...

download cutepdf print driver and the gnu pdf converter to go with it. scan document into your favorite windows package an then print via the pdf driver straight to a pdf file.

Another similar possibility is pdf995

used to use pdf995 but on some xp machines it just insists on doing letter paper and won't swap to A4 no matter what I did so cutepdf gets the thumbs up for now
