Discussion
I'm having some trouble getting my CSS to look good IE. It looks fine in firefox but IE just wont do it the pages are:
www.aber.ac.uk/designstudio/mark/iota/main.php
www.aber.ac.uk/designstudio/mark/iota/join/sencond-level-join.php
and the CSS code look like this:
ul{
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 90%;
color: #8B2800;
border-left: 0%;
padding-left: 0%;
text-align: left;
}
ul.nav{
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 100%;
color: #76CFAE;
margin: 0;
position: relative;
left: 20px;
border-left: 0px;
padding-left: 0px;
text-align: left;
}
ul.nav > ul.nav{
font-size: 80%;
}
ul.nav > ul.nav > ul.nav {
font-size: 90%;
}
Any advice would be great

Where to start on this one.
The basic problem is that IE is not CSS compliant and MSFT have implemented a load of non standard extensions.
To get the bullets to show you may have to alter the .ul tag and add the lines: -
list-style-type: square;
list-style-position: outside;
you may be better off using a javascript to detect the browser and have 2 style sheets one for IE and one for all the other compliant browsers.
As far as the second level menus go you may well have to define a second ul class which has all the properties of the top level menu class but which makes the font smaller.
A good start point for a lot of issues is The IE Blog
Enjoy!

Wahey an aberystwyth person! oh to be back there
Edit : that sign in doesnt seem to do too much, and the graphic overwrites the main title text on tichy screens. oh, and that sign in graphic seems to be missing a closing corner on the left....
