OOps,

I seem to have rejected a cookie which allows animated icons. How do I get them back?

I use McAfee.

Helllp.

I've tried the usual techniques.......

shouting at it
asking it nicely to bring them back
switching it off
turning it on again
crying
double clicking my McAfee security centre icon and looking at the settings
closing McAfee security centre again.

Cheers for that. Pre-McAfee I had no issues, now that I have after installing yesterday I'm assuming it's the McAfee software.

Aaaaargh...Is that all I had to do. I've turned the privacy thingy off and it seems to have worked. Do I not need this thingy then or do all the other thingy's protect my machine sufficiently? Or are you looking into my machine now through your thingy?

Can I change the settings in my privacy thingy to allow animated smily thingys?

Sorry I'm an ignoramus with computer....thingy's.

Top Man by the way....

To be honest I've never used the consumer version of mcafee. I have the corporate version at work which doesn't have the tat *cough* extra features so I've never really looked at what the privacy feature does. I know it blocks cookies though as it was causing one of my customers grief with AOL and some other sites.

Look at the privacy feature list and decide whether thats important to you.

Anitvirus = very important keep enabled
Firewall = very important keep enabled

there is another component but can't remember what it was now and I think you can buy them separately so you may not have them all.
