Ok folks, have space, have created my web pages.

Problem is this. Making my files know each other are there and not on my computer.

So, I have page say Index.htm and then I have the folder of associated stuff when I save the page (or any other web page for that matter). So, my index.htm has some gaps for photos (.jpg) and when I look through the associated file (index.htm files) the photos are there and are titled.

So, I go through the original index.htm (now on the server) text and locate the references to my Jpgs. I now change them from being C/Desktop/My documents/My Pictures/image001.jpg references to Indexhtmlfiles/image001 and they still dont work.

Am I am complete spoon. Can someone give me a reference of how they link their HTML file with the other stuff. Free software which is OK, etc. I am on thin ice here, but I could be capable.

From my site:

[img src="features/images/232-2-tiny.jpg" alt="1970 Cooper S" width="100" height="75" border="0"]

(I have changed the < > at the start and end to [ ] in order to get PH to show it)

That points to 232-2-tiny.jpg in subfolder /features/images beneath the root folder.

Can you post up some of your html so we can have a look?

If the image files are in the same directory on the server as index.html then the reference should just read image01.jpg, not as you indicated above.

Not at the moment as my computer crashed and lost the lot.

I will look at the type of brackets used and see if that changes it.

I'll come back with some hard evidence when I can't do it again.

thanks, Stu
