Gibberish in SPAM
Discussion
Does anyone know why Spammers put complete gibberish at the end of their emails? For example one I received today after trying to advertise the fact that there were three 18 year old virgins dying for sex just waiting for my email
had the following at the end:
I mean WTF is all that about? It in no way contributes to what they are “advertising” is it some ploy to get the email past SPAM filter software and if so how does it work?

Bayesian spam filters calculate the probability of a message being spam based on its contents. Unlike simple content-based filters, Bayesian spam filtering learns from spam and from good mail, resulting in a very robust, adapting and efficient anti-spam approach that, best of all, returns hardly any false positives.
Think about how you detect spam. A quick glance is often enough. You know what spam looks like, and you know what good mail looks like. The probability of spam looking like good mail is around... zero.

I am getting inundated and have been for a couple of years now with spam from Korean computer companies. Complete and utter gibberish and Korean characters. How the hell can I stop these 50 or so messages I get a day? Anyone read Korean...?
Doesn't matter if you could read Korean. They won't stop. Get yourself a decent email filter, or an account with an ISP that does it for you, or just drop all emails from the Korean IP netblock on the floor.
