Sonicstage + CDDB advice?

Anyone unfortunate enough to have experience of Sonicstage, the worst piece of software in the west?

After upgrading to version 2.3 from www.connect-europe.com the bleeding thing refuses to connect to Gracenote CDDB and get the track information.

Before I try the last resort (tech support phone line!) anyone got any ideas?

Win Xp sp2. Tried un-installing and re-installing. tried all 3 different proxy settings.

Next last resort is an iPod!

You got the windows firewall turned on? Try turning it off or adding sonicstage to the trusted list.

Try using Musicbrainz Tagger from www.musicbrainz.org
Tags about 85% accurately some of the obscure/old stuff it really struggles with.

Whilst I would look forward to the opportunity to "go to town" on muggers, practising a few reverse turning kicks to burberry cap'd heads!

I'm still not sure about living with a 3hr battery.

As for the Firewall, yes I've tried that off...
