Any Exchange Gurus (or Google guru's!)?

I'm currently in the process of creating an x400 connector between 2 sites.

In order to do so, at least one server in each site must be running Exchange Enterprise edition (or else the abilty to create the connector is removed from the GUI)

Trouble is, I cannot create the connector in one site (despite the only site server being Ent Edition). I figure this is because the server was upgraded from std and the appropriate bit in the directory was not set.

So, question is, does anyone know exactly how the Exchange admin tool determines whether the servers are enterprise edition? There is a technet article on this, (and how to fix it using the admin tool's raw mode) but I can't find it!!

Found it... It's the heuristics attribute on a server object. Tweaking it gives me the ability to create x400 objects, I just hope that's the only change required for it to work correctly....
