Got a Shuttle SK43G with a Sempron CPU in it... now according to Shuttle, the BIOS needs to be upgraded in order to recognise the Sempron - http://eu.shuttle.com/en/DesktopDefault.aspx/tabid-99/205_read-9861/

OK, that's fine... and confirmed by bootup, which shows the processor as an Athlon, rather than a Sempron.

Now the download for the PC is listed here - http://global.shuttle.com/Download/Download_File.asp?Item=SK43G - which gives me the file FX43S418.bin

The *.bin file is not self-extracting... so further browsing showed up this - http://eu.shuttle.com/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-99/205_read-5235/ - which states...

...please extract the .bin BIOS file and Award flash utility to a bootable floppy disk, restart, boot from Drive A: and at DOS prompt type Awdflash (bios name).bin to flash BIOS.

OK, bootable floppy.. *.bin file... but no awdflash file..!!!

Can I find it? Can I !!!

Tried downloading one from the net but that wont have it; states it's not an Award BIOS...

Any suggestions..? This is seriously annoying me know... and Shuttle haven't got back to me (and probably wont over the weekend!).

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.. and rewarded with beer tokens!

Plotty, you are a star!

Beer tokens will be forthcoming at such an event (in the assumption that it solves the issue in the morning )

I got a Shuttle last week, for peace and quiet downstairs, and which fits into a cupboard. Got the Zen silent model.....love it.

Just finished networking it to the upstairs machine and remote desktop/file copy works a treat at 100Mpbs

Great value little boxes me thinks, but not as small as the miniMac.
