Is it Morgan that do refurbed computer gear? I haven't used them myself and I think they may have come in for some criticism on here, but I don't expect they're much worse than average.

Or try a computer fair?

Has it got to be a lapdog? A full sized box could be much cheaper and is upgradeable cheaply...

About to buy a spanking new dell for home so that will be 5. The problem is I need my accounts and email at both the office and home now.

I got my dad a refurbished laptop from a place just down the road from here in Leeds.

They have a pretty fast turnover, so if there's nothing you like then it's worth coming back in a few days time. Only a 30 day warranty, but to be honest that is when things are most likely to fail.
