Something has changed on my computer. When I close down my browser window whilst online, the window that asks me the question "do you want to disconnect" no longer appears. I have to disconnect by right clicking the the icon in the system tray.
I have looked everywhere in the properties to rectify this, but to no avail.
I'm sure it's happened before and I've corrected it, but can't remember how to do it.
Any Windows experts out there? BTW I'm running Windows 2000 Professional.

Grouch.

Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections Tab.

Highlight your connection then click settings.

In the window that opens, click 'Advanced'

Tick the box that says 'Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed'

OK your way out, et voila (hopefully)
