My nexus 5 has a real problem with wi fi this has been confirmed this week, I have been away with my wife she is sat next to me and herMoto G connects ok, my Nexus 9 also connects but my Nexus 5 will not.
My phone is 6 months old & was bought direct through Play Store.
Unless anyone has any suggestions I think I should be requesting a replacement, any thoughts please.!

2.4Ghz or 5Ghz? What encryption are you using? I had a little issue with my first 5 but due to the infamous rebooting issue I had it swapped out. Have you tried rebooting the phone?

Alternatively, try Google for a replacement after calling them. They're usually very good with swapping out the handset.

I had 4x replacement Nexus 5 from playstore, eventually they gave me my money back and I bought a HTC One M8.

My issue was to do with the phone always going into "roaming" mode when it lost signal.

It may not be a problem with the N5 but rather with the Android software.

I have both a N5 and a N10. Both really suffered on wifi after upgrading to 5.0/Lollipop. My N10 connection at home is now really slow when more than a few yards away from the router and my N5 now cannot connect to wifi at work. Both of these problems started the instant I upgraded.

Nothing has resolved it - factory resets, manual flashing of factory images, new radios, custom roms etc.

The Google help forums are full of similar stories with no solutions.
