then run away...

Take a look round www.adslguide.org/ for comparisons, ratings, prices, etc.

I'm with Pipex and have had no problems in the 13 months I've been with them.

Look at Tiscali? Um, not the best advice you've ever given there Lois.

I'm changing mine this month from BT (whom I can't fault over the past 5 years but they are introducing bandwidth limits shortly and that simply won't do for me) and have looked at Metronet, Eclipse Internet, Pipex, UKOnline and Demon, all of which come recommended by others.

Eclipse are decent but the Flex thing seems reduntant to us and thats pretty much what Eclipse offer

Pipex & Demon are too expensive, as is UKOnline. Maybe not in the actual pricing structure but also in the setup costs.

I chose Metronet as we can get 1kbps line cheaper than BT currently offer 512kbps, it's uncapped and has a funky PAYG model which may come in useful when I go on holiday and the like. Plus it's only a 3 month contract.

I'm with Metronet and they've been great. You can get through to support if needed but to be honest, I haven't and the PAYG model is very good as has been said.
