An applicable is sending a mail message with Outlook as the default mail handler

How do I stop these 2 messages popping up and just get on with it?

AFAIK its just tough - one of Microsoft's oh so useful ways of trying to protect us from ourselves.

Saying that, I haven't looked too long and hard for a solution and I would be interested if anyone has one... (other than "don't use Outlook" )

You can't disable it AFAIK. You can suppress it for a period of time though.

It's designed to prevent email virii using the address book so there is no way of disabling it (or else the viruses would).

Either install an earlier version of Outlook or use send mail in a different way (SMTP or something).

It would be far too sensible for MS to include the name of the program that is attempting access and prompting whether you'd like to remember your choice for this prog next time...

But wouldn't every virus then attempt to send using common application names or check what is allowed before sending?

There is a little add on you can load up that can be used to get around this issue. It's called Click Yes - I don't know the link but if you google for it, you should find it. A word of warning, if the system you run it on goes into standby the app stops working.

This was a feature in security pack 2 for Outlook I believe.

That works (used it before). However, the box still pops up (it's just closed quickly).
