One of my colleagues is having problems and he said they could be migrating mail servers as it is planned for about this time.

It's been pretty ropey for a few days, and more than just email : www.ntl-isp.ntl.com/ServiceStatus/
(although that page isn't updated as often as it could be - e.g. "will be fixed by the morning of the 23rd", when it's already the 24th)

all the more reason to use a "virtual" email such as yahoo!

famous last words but i have used yahoo! email for some 6yrs and its been 99% reliable. i even use yahoo! as my web hosting and business email server now. top service.
