Plotter Problems

I use an HP Designjet 500 A1 plotter on a daily basis. Recently it started to cut off drawings about 1/4 of the way through, then it would use aanother complete sheet plot the rest of the drawing.
I have tried reloading the drivers, updating the drivers and firmware etc but to no avail.
What is the best way of completely removing this printer from my system so that I can reload it from scratch?
I have uninstalled and re-installed Autocad (2005) with no difference.

I mostly use it from Autocad where it throws up a bizarre NT file missing message. It prints a test page from Windows perfectly.

Have you got all the service packs and hotfixes from Autodesk ?

We recently had a similar problem with Inventor 9 and it turned out to be fixed under AIS SP2.
