Autochanger blues.

I took the autochanger out of the car boot as the car is being sold, now realised CD's are still in cassete. Is it possible to get them out without powering it up?

The eject mechanism on most changers is mechanical, but you might be lucky and have a well designed one with a manual eject backup.

If you take the cover off, it's sometimes possible to work out how the mechanism works to allow you to get the cassette out. Failing that, apply 12v to the power leads and press the eject button?

Hope you took the cable as well - can be expensive to replace in order to deter stereo thieves...
