Has anyone on the planet ever managed to put a USB connector in to a USB port the right way round, first time?

I have bigger issues in life but none that occur 15 times a day!

Quite a lot of the cables have the USB icon on the top of the cable to show you the right way round ....

USB-C will solve it anyway, although only Apple have really started to adopt it.

Even armed with this knowledge I still fail miserably. In fact I think some manufacturers put the icon on the wrong side on purpose!

I might have known that Schrödinger had an input in to the design!

Phones, yes. Computers is what I meant. The iPhone I expect will keep its annoyingly proprietary connector.

My chinese laptop has USB C as do a fair few of the decent Dell models too.
Apple just went a bit too far and took away all of the other ports whilst they were at it!

I am willing to bet that the iPhone 8 will be USB C. There will be gnashing of teeth by people who have bought lightning headphones.

I suppose that works if you remember that the top is left on vertical slots.

Easy.

Just before you plug in the cable flip in 180' and it will fit in perfectly.

NB. Works 50% of the time
