Getting hacked off with freezing Word

This is happening more and more frequently.
Im in the middle of doing work on Microsoft Word and if I have MSN running in the background, if someone signs on or starts a conversation, word totally freezes and I cant recover any unsaved work.

Does it sound like some sort of virus?

Are you using a Beta version of MSN?

If not, could be Video Card Drivers.

Try going to windowsupdate.com, might be some new updates / drivers there.

OR, just turn off MSN notifications when you're using word.

also officeupdate.com will have some patches for your version of word.

Nope got rid of mt beta msn a while ago now.
I've had to result in closing it and also saving every couple of sentences.
Damn annoying! Did it 3 times in the space of 10 mins

you can set word to autosave every X mins..

Could set this to 1 min.

I would say best bet is just turn off PopUp Notification of signons / new messages.

Sounds like it could be video card drivers.. but strange how it should just start up recently.
