Hi

I have bought a number of items today, one being a new Nexus 5x phone from Amazon on Prime
All the other items are marked as "on their way" where as the most expensive item, the phone, is just marked as "shipping today" for tomorrows delivery

Arriving tomorrow
Shipping today

Should i be concerned?

Thanks
Nick

Are you sure it's eligible for prime? Next day delivery is offered by pretty much all courier companies so no massive concern yet.

Exactly - looks like a merchant, as it doesn't say sold by Amazon, or fulfilled by them.

If it's a prime delivery, it should arrive tomorrow.

I've ordered things at 1900 before and had them delivered the next day.

Its just changed to "on its way" with tracking details.

I was getting worried it was so late. And i read recently on PH about a chap being scammed on a camera he purchased through Amazon...

Hopefully it arrives tomorrow

Thanks

We are having a bit of a nightmare of a time at the moment in the logistics sector with tracking events missing/delayed. Just because the tracking isn't as up to date as you would like all should be fine with the actual parcel. A lot of tracking is actually sent via FTP in CSV rather than as API calls, so depending on volume it can actually take a while to appear in the target system.

I ordered 2 x Iphone charging cables at 11pm yesterday, they arrived at 11am this morning. Astonishing!

Got to be a little careful with Amazon prime, the 1 day delivery is measured from despatch of the item, it does not cover the time between ordering and despatch.

This is not clear in their adverts which imply it is one day from ordering which it isn't.

I've always found it to be very clear at POS exactly what the situation is regarding delivery, whether Prime/fulfilled by Amazon/not eligible/etc.

It still stands that the 1 day delivery is from when the item is despatched for prime eligible items. I have had items spent several days 'being despatched' which is not part of the 1 day delivery offered by Amazom Prime.

Most of the prime eligible items are despatched the same day so you get it next day.

I've had 3 or 4 things not turn up on the day they were supposed to. Each time I've sent a "where's my stuff?" Email to Amazon and got a 1 month extension on my Prime each time! clap

Only ever had one thing not turn up before the due date. Didn't bother complaining as they sent me an email to let me know ahead of time.

I've had 8 x 1mth extensions & a £10 credit so far, in about 5mths!
Amazon Logistics really are the worst by some margin & Yodel/Hermes
are terrible!

It really depends a lot on the quality of your local depot. Never had any real issues with Amazon Logistics here, although do miss when Prime used to ship to us via DPD just for the time slot estimates.

DPD and Hermes are fine for us.

Amazon Logistics are a bit... variable.

DPD are great, oddly they still collect any returns.

Nothing to add on the thread except good choice of phone smile Get a glass screen protector for it, too.

Same here. DPD is good with the time tracking and Our local Hermes driver leaves his mobile number on the cards and asks you to text a time you'll be in so he can try and get to you around that time. Really nice guy too.

Im not keen on Amazon Logistics as their hours are so varied and the staff just don't care. I often opt to have something delivered to the local lockers and I go pick it up late in the evening when parking is free outside!

If I were the OP I wouldn't be concerned. You'll get it.
