Slow internet

Things have been running slow over the last few days, difficult now on ebay and PH sometimes you have to reload the page to see photos.

So I've
Run security scan windows defender
Defrag
Disc clean up

Mrs PR hasn't noticed any slow down on her ipad and internet TV is ok so I'm thinking it's the laptop rather than the broadband (plusnet)

Any help appreciated.

When or if the problem comes back to haunt you, first turn off all anti virus softaware and recheck, if the problem is still there run task manager to see if something is running and eating away at your bandwidth (SVCHost is the odds on fav)
If you would like to use a tool that is much better than task manager visit here and download this very good process explorer (it is portable, no install required)

Now if all checks ok you can start thinking about a router or ISP problem

As far as I know, this is what happened to a friend of mine, that bought his HP laptop from ebay last year and he paid a lot for that.
