We have an Internet TV that has a Youtube Channel that used to be a doddle to use, it appears they have updated it and it's now a big POS.

Previously watched list containing stuff I haven't previously watched.
Choose to play a song by Starsailor the next song is something by The Verve.
I was listening to what was supposed to "50 songs by Laid Back" when only the first few are.
Really hard to navigate, the "play next video" function only works very occassionally. Etc, etc.

Is there anything I can do to bin this and get the old one back?

Bloody muppets.

Yes, you can restore it back to 'classic'. You will see a symbol of a man in the bottom right corner of the screen; click it.

No sign of the clicky man. What page should I be able to find this on?

They seem far more interested in getting you to watch stuff they "recommend" than letting you watch stuff you want to watch.

Year, but i did get to find out some other interesting elector swing/funk music to be fair. It's just annoying when you go back to try to find it again a few days later and it takes you a while to realise that that track wasn't by who you thought it was!

The man figure showed in the bottom right corner when you view a vidya. Possibly a bug? Try clearing cookies if you can't see it.

You're not wrong. The Laid Back selection I was listening to had some god awful House Mix of Chris Isaac's Wicked Game about six songs in.

Still can't see him but went through the settings to find "autoplay" enabled they play a song of their after your own choice. I will see how it goes.

Cheers.

Been in the settings 3 times to find autoplay "enabled" despite disabling it. It goes nuts if you take it off "recommended", keeps flipping music and trending, and I still can't find the clicky despite clearing the cookies.

AdBlock, uBlock Origin and Magic Actions for Youtube extensions solve all the above issues if you use Chrome.

It's on our Sony Internet TV, it has Sony Entertainment Network, and it's the Youtube channel on there that's playing up.

Youtube on my laptop is fine and just as it's always been.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Well, if it has SEN then Spotify should be on there; they have a deal with Sony

I've noticed that they have taken to placing adverts in below the video and the "Show more" dialogue.

However (on my PC at least) there seems to be a short delay before the adverts appear, so if you happen to be clicking "Show more" you get a lucky advert strike instead.

My current adblocking doesn't seem to be able to block these either.

On YT now I just don't like how if you watch say, 1 short clip from an episode of family guy, your recommendations list is suddenly just wall to wall of family guy clips! Bloody annoying!
