I've just formatted my C: and reinstalled XP.

Everything works fine and looked normal until I ran the reinstall drivers disc.

Since then everything has gone small....

It is not just the icons on the desktop, but all of the programs, including my beloved Pistonheads is running in minature.

I've been into Display Settings and checked the DPI setting, which was set at Normal. I have increased it to about 120%, which roughly replicates what things used to be like with the Normal setting, but something is plainly not right.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Pat

From here and not knowing your level of expretise it sounds like you are running at a different resolution... Put back what you changed and try 800*600 1024*768 etc until you get back to what you had previously.....

I could be totally wrong

Hold the <ctrl> key down and experiment with your scrolly wheel thing on the mouse to change the size in the internet browser.

I'd agree with Bliarout on this one, seeing as the icons are smaller as well as text within IE, it sounds like you are running at a higher resolution than you were previously..

If you have no eye sight issues, and it's not set to a Silly resolution, see if you can get used to it, I find it a real pain using a machine that is running 800x600 these days, it's so much easier to run a higher resolution and fit more into the available area..

One a scale of 1-10 I'd say that my expertise was about 0.05.

You were right.

I was being even more of an intellectual dwarf than usual.

Problem solved.

Cheers all
