Junk Mail in the last few days increased enormously
Discussion
Anybody else experienced this? Normally I get about 10 junk mails a day but recently it has increased and today already I have had about 25-30.
Ultimately they all go into the spam folder as the senders are not on my contact list, but it is still slightly unnerving that it arrives relentlessly!

It's the Black Friday bandwagon. I've had emails from companies I've not used for years arrive in my spam folder in the last few days. I assume that since Black Friday is now a UK "thing" the marketing people seem to think that everyone is just sat waiting for emails to spend money on.
I thought you meant through the letter box via RM!?
This has also increased exponentially. I usually let it 'slide' but it's getting so bad I've started posting it back in the local letter box.
It's not like RM's services are remotely cheap to help justify the receiving of a load of crap through my letter box.

I've just checked my BT email junk folder and my rate has increased. I would endorse the person who suggested that Gmail is good with spam.Ultimately they all go into the spam folder as the senders are not on my contact list, but it is still slightly unnerving that it arrives relentlessly!

Which email service do you use?
Gmail has some of the best anti-spam filters there is, I don't get anything I'm not purposely signed up for.
Agree, but whenever I go to France with my Android phone, which syncs with Gmail. When I come back I get a massive peak of *french* spam for a while.Gmail has some of the best anti-spam filters there is, I don't get anything I'm not purposely signed up for.

I simply save them up and return via the public junk mail return facility AKA postbox. That way, postman gets his bonus on delivering Junk, BUT RM has to get rid. This has also increased exponentially. I usually let it 'slide' but it's getting so bad I've started posting it back in the local letter box.
