Mouse and XP Pro SP2

Does anyone know why my mouse will not stay at the applied click spead when the PC shuts down. On restat it is at fast as the click speed. Even if I change it and click apply, it still reverts to fast on startup.

IS it a USB optical mouse, as the same thing happens to mine (doesn't keep any of the settings after a reboot)?

Yes, it is USB but not optical

Have you tried installing IntelliPoint?

Tried that but it still looses it's setting
