Seems a few people on social media are having issues with it too, although ours seems better now.

I've had a solid 1.8Mbps all day so far! 'Broad'band at its best! frown

We changed from standard broadband a few days ago with a typical high of 5/6 mbps to fibre with around 35-50 mbps. At peak times we were stuck with 1-2 mbps before. Not enough in 2017.

Talk Talk are the worst ISP by far so it's to be expected. Get a proper ISP.

Well we get it for free from our landlord so I’m inclined to keep it, although he said I’m welcome to get my own provider but I’ll need to go through the hassle and expense of getting a phone line installed.

That makes no sense unless you've missed out some key part to the story.

Apologies. Our cottage is attached to his house. Our internet is provided via an Ethernet cable which is plugged into his router through the wall. Our cottage does not have a phone line installed. I live in rural Dorset. It’s a bit backwards smile

Not noticed any issues today. Probably not the best ISP but not had regular problems with them and could be a case of frying pan to fire to change.
When the line had a fault earlier this year it was back in 2-3 working days which is what BT are allowed (it probably was a BT fault anyway!).

Right. In that case the reason why your internet isn't working is because he's using all the bandwidth to watch Bang Bros. smile

I’m with Talk Talk and always get 36-38 Mb/s download and 10-12Mb/s upload.
Never had cause to complain and has been fine today!
