Are you running full or the LT version ?

In the Full version, use File, Export then as a BMP file. You then need photoshop wtc to convert to a jpg.

I don't think LT lets you save anything other than dwg/dxf/dwf etc.

If your using the full version, another way is to export it as an eps file, then insert that into word as a picture

Thanks for the replies,

It's the full 2000 version.

It's a 3D picture and I managed to export it as a .bmp but it saved as a wire frame image and I want it as a solid picture.

Any ideas?

You could always the screen and paste it into something like paint. Not the most sophisticated method but it works!

Its been a while since I used 2000 but this works in the newer versions.

What you will need to do is to shade the model...view - shade - gouraud shadded edges on. ( you can do a screen grab if resolution isn't important )
Then render it. When setting up the render change the destination to file and set up the file size required.
If you are using a black background, you may wish to change it to white beforehand.
