Last week the pc went t1ts up and wouldn't even open windows let alone get on the net. I can't fix that sort of thing so i had no choice but to plough my way through another format and install. Everything is more or less as it was now. i have Norton firewall and antivirus and also use stuff like cleansweep. So, i think i am slightly above average in anti attack software as home pd's go....but. Yet again i seem to be bombarded with backdoor/seven trojan attacks which norton is keeping at bay. Mostly,it seems from telecommunication companies. I wondered if it was normal to recieve 2 or 3 of these attack in a day or is it something iv'e done?
Thanks Fluffy,
I was running spysweeper and hijack this along side my Norton arsenal but nothing saved me from the req.dll virus last time as i couldn't even start the pc properly.
These alert are more annoying than anything else and i just wondered if it was normal to have so many.
One thing i have to sort out now is trying to load hijack this etc again as when i open the zip i get that annoying box asking me what i would like to open it with.? I DON'T KNOW
Guess i will have to work my way down the list untill i find the right one missing out things like paint and calc
