I still have an original 8110 which this new one looks a lot like, more than it looks like the old 7110.
Edit: read the article and this is an update to the original 8110 as seen in the matrix film.

I should have put 8110 in the post not 7110, it does says on the article that most people would have had a 7110 instead originally.

I've edited it.

I'll probably get one for the novelty value (and to use to service a support contract) - battery life is key.

I may get one, really like that. Supposedly they're only going to about £80 too. I have an iphone SE, and ALL I use it for is texting, calls, photos and occasional internet. Would it do all that?

I still have both the 8110 and the 7110 (and many more old Nokias). Not sure they work at all any more. I fired up my 8910i with a SIM in an adapter last year and it connected to the network, but he only page it could load in the WAP browser was the Google homepage.

7110 is what was used in the Matrix. 8110 was an earlier design and a great phone.

I had a Nokia 8110 at some point shortly after they were made cool by the Matrix.

I was always disappointed they didn't snap open like they do in the film and it was a pretty mediocre phone.

Battery life was abysmal, so I had to buy a high capacity battery for travelling. It ruined the look:

When I had an 8210 that I could swap the body on it, I bought a slider front that made it look like an 8890 but it had a button on the side and spring loaded slider so it did ping open quickly biggrin
