sorry for all the new threads here, thought i would get them off my mind!
my laptop doesnt auto play dvds, cds, and doesnt autorun games when i insert a cd into the drive
anyone know how i can get it do autoread?
many thanks
It's probably going to depend on what OS you're using, but I think find an option to enable this in the device settings for the CDROM (settings/control panel/system/device manager), properties/settings.
im using windows xp home edition, with service pack 2
In File Explorer, right click your drive and select properties.
There should be an autoplay tab in the dialog box. In here you can select what you want to do with various data types, and what you want to play them with.
i think that helped but it still doesnt address the issue about the games not autoloading when i put them in, there isnt an option for games cds
