Does any body know of a supplier that manufactures a threaded speaker terminal that can be mounted on a cavity wall sunken patrice box, to enable wall sunken cabling between two points in a room.

I might have got your question a bit wrong so excuse me if I have.

Is the audio feed digital or analogue?

If it's analogue, can't you just drill holes for a pair (or however many) of banana plug receptacles?

I'm certain you can get these from Farnell/RS, but probably maplin too.

What I'm trying to get is a wall mounted plate like the ariel socket for a TV but with the screw down connectors like the back of a speaker. Mount these in the corners of a room and sink the speker cable into the cavity.

Just hit the automation pages and look up the suppliers.

www.letsautomate.com has this sort of stuff ready made
www.laser.com
www.simplyautomate.co.uk/

I made my own, and can send photo's if you want. I used clipsal stuff from letsautomate because my whole house has clipsal sockets and I wanted it to match!
