I hate throwing stuff away when there's nothing wrong with it but I need some more room.

What's up for grabs (so far):

Sun 21" monitor?
An old SparcSation 10 to go with it if you like.
A couple of 14" VGA monitors.
An old USB scanner.

All I ask is that you collect it. If there are no takers it'll probably be thrown out...

Just showing my ignorance here - I had to look up what a Sun Sparcstation 10 was.......

Does yours have 4 CPUs?

Adam,
is the sparc station working? I am desparate to polish up my UNIX skills, as it has been many years since I had access to somewhere to play.

Thx,
Chris

It's not a great spec - 40Mhz, Single CPU, 128Mb of memory. SCSI disk (not large, can't remember how big) and a SCSI CD-ROM.

It currently has an old version of SUSE Linux running on it.

I was using it for a while just pottering around on the command line (checking mail, irc, ...) and it works just fine.

What connector does the SUN monitor use? Is it a regular PC D-plug? If it is, then i'll have it.

I'm afraid it's Sun-specific. You'll need an adapter like this one to make it work with a PC:
