Thank you, I'd assumed there would be a way but in spite of working in IT I'm just not that clued on on Chromebooks and Android support.
Makes sense though, I'm just cautious that Sky have done some w
kery around the Sky Go app which is why I'd love to hear from someone who's running Sky Go on a Chromebook

I believe the Chromebook chrome store is some kind of virtual system as opposed to a full blown android operating system.
I was expecting my Chromebook to run all sorts of apps but have found that it will not run WiFi analyser or the ubiquity apps.
Apparently this is something to do with security, Google won't allow you to play with network tools on the Chromebook but will on an android tablet or phone.
My Chromebook has become an expensive paperweight. You maybe want to get confirmation that it will work before you commit.

Sky go app is available for install on mine
I don't use it, my experience of media apps has been that the streaming works fine, but download is often unavailable, same experience of using a rooted or cheap off brand phone / tablet. not tried it for some time though, thing have possibly improved.
Wifi analyser works fine for me i just tried it, maybe you should update everything and try it now.

I've used Netflix and Amazon Prime Video apps on my Chromebook for the last couple of years. I download videos for when I'm away or travelling etc
I've not tried Sky's app though, as I'm not a Sky subscriber. I don't see why it won't work though, if they are trying to compete with the likes of Netflix and Amazon for viewing on the go.

Well if anyone stumbles on this looking for an answer, as of now Sky Player works but it's pretty s
t
It isn't resizable so you're stuck with either minimal or full screen and you can't resize the window.
It also looks like the apps that are made for scrolling don't handle mice great.
It's a mixed bag because for £250 I can't believe how good a Chromebook seems, and it will get some use elsewhere in the family, it's just not quite there enough to replace a dedicated Mac/Windows machine for my uses (yet).
