When are we going to put Colin Furze in a position of real power/influence?

https://www.youtube.com/user/colinfurze

The man is an engineering AND inventive genius

We need him on HS2/The new Concorde/GB's Space Effort/Cold fusion

He is too good for Lincolnshire, too good for youtube, too talented for 70000shot mushroom fireworks....

Seriously, can someone start a viral sensation vote petition phenomenum thingy.......

He’s brilliant.

Do we know if he’s worked as an engineer / has an engineering degree? His stuff seems so very well thought out and implemented.

I think he needs to be used for something more than mobility scooters with hydraulic arms at the back, now.

Someone give him a Research Dept in a University

Or something

We're English, we invent and build things, this is what we're good at.

Let's capitalise

I'd imagine his income would disagree with you hehe . He makes a killing from Youtube, not just the revenue but his tie ups with Marvel etc that he's recently had.

He's a mad genius and doing fantasically from it too!

While he is (well portrays to be on youtube) good at bringing other people's ideas to fruition

Has he actually invented anything original?

Being a Lincolnshire lad myself, it makes me proud biggrin

Get him and the other Lincolnshire lad, Guy Martin, together to work on something......

While it is skillful and funny to build a 80mph mobility scooter one does wonder what practical benefit such a thing has?

And I suspect the lad is doing it for fun. Once you start getting paid to do it and told to push out a new project every month it soon becomes not fun.

I love Colin, the most entertaining thing on youtube smile But it's a stretch to call him a genius. He just has time on his hands to do this stuff. It's mostly pointless, silly stuff, but that IS the point. I'd like to think that, given the time and money, I'd be doing this stuff. There's a lad also on youtube, Tom Stanton also doing mad inventor bits, but goes more into the maths and theory. Not quite the scale of Mr Furze but getting there.
PS the hydraulic arm on the invalid scooter, I'd have done a parallelogram mechanism so the seat raises and stays horizontal....

Colin is a legend, not an engineering genius, I'm sure he'd be the first to admit that.

Yes he does, google him for a YouTube clip of him being interviewed in Germany in his earlier days.

As stated. Very handy guy, incredibly inventive.

But most of all completely mad. I wouldn't do half the stuff he did in full leathers. But he does it in short sleeves and a tie.
Everytime I see a video of him pop up I'm most impressed that he's still mostly in one piece.
