After my youngest threw one of his toys and smashed my current TV, I am needing to replace this with a new one.

I've got £500 to spend and have been looking at Hisense TV's. Does anyone have any experiance with this brand? Are they any good?

Open to other suggestions too.

Cheers

They get good reviews and spent a lot on advertising in the World Cup.

I own a 43 inch 2016 model as a secondary tv and it seems good enough. It has 4K, smart features and plenty of connections available and only cost about £300.

Always worth looking / visiting Richer Sounds for TV's.

Their warranties are excellent and included in the price.

Richer Sounds have that for the same price, £349, but it includes a 6-year warranty:

I have a H49m3000 connected to an xbox one.
It's also had netflix and now tv at times.

Connect it to the net when you first get it, to update the firmware.
Mines gained many apps and features over the years, from updates.

Picture quality is good when compared to other units around the £500 mark.
I paid £310 for this one.
Sound is excellent.

I would buy another no question.

Thanks. Shame the Amazon reviews are not too kind. Perhaps worth seeking out the older model with better reviews?

I have a 65” HiSense and for the price it is great. With a bit of tuning the picture is excellent, comparable to many higher need sets. The one thing I notice compared to my LG and Samsung is shallower viewing angles. It washes out more past a certain point but straight on it is terrific. I always use John Lewis as a decent guide for brands I don’t know because they wouldn’t stock them if they weren’t any good as they offer 5 year warranties on them.

They are something like the 4th largest set manufacturer in the world, just not so well known in the U.K. Massive in the USA comparatively.

If you can get to a Richer Sounds store, then they are doing the LG43UJ630V for £299 for VIP members:

That's a lot of TV for £300.

I can't recommend a visit to one of their stores if you can. They usually have a good amount of TV's on display and the staff really know their stuff.

They also often have in-store "manager's specials" which don't make it to their website.

I've bought several LG TV's from them and on each occassion they've found me a deal so I ended up with a higher spec TV than the one I thought I would buy at the same or lower cost.

No connection with Richer Sounds, just a very satisfied customer.

I wouldn't buy a TV (+or Hi Fi etc) from anywhere else.
