Hi tryring to set up a site for a pal so he can control the content within one of his pages. I've just had a play with Iframes but not really right. I need more of a 'lite' admin tool that would allow him to edit the text content and 'click to update' his site. Such a thing exist ?

thanks all ED

Content Management System (CMS)

Something like PHP-Nuke would do this, althogh there are many other types out there.

If you need a host that offers this Free, click the logo in the Top of this forum.

Enjoy

Macromedia's 'Contribute' ? The web developer does the site as normal, but the 'punter' uses Contribute to update areas of the site that the developer gives them access to (so I believe) . Allows the end user to modify the site without screwing up the underlying code.

Had a look at Contribute.. the site in question is traditional html so dont think it's the right tool.

Stumbled over this site www.cmsimple.dk/ which looks interesting.
